Many of us have put a lot of time and effort into learning English, and even though we’ve excelled at vocabulary and grammar, nonetheless actually speaking English is not our strongest suit. It’s noteworthy that most people who take IELTS and TOEFL tests, score the lowest in Speaking section of the test.
The only way you could improve your speaking skills, is constant practice and to imitate the way the native English speakers make sentences and speak. In this app, we’ve tried our best to provide you with an environment within which you could focus mostly on your speaking skills and have done so, through encouraging users to practice with the video contents we’ve provided that have been gathered from different sources and enriched with our in-house English tutors.
In Convo app, you watch different video clips in different categories including TV series, movies, TV talk shows, TED talks and news and you need to listen carefully and repeat what they say repeatedly and try to imitate their speaking. You may do a very good job on some cards, whereas on some other cards you might need more practice. You record how you did on each card by swiping them to left or right, and also you can save the ones you like to access them readily later.
At the end of each practice session, you can see your progress and how you did, and may carry on practicing or start practicing a new category to discover more.
Furthermore, there are some grammatical and practical tips underneath each card, which can enhance your knowledge about certain topics.
