Yashovardhan Raichand is a distinguished, well-respected man with a foundation of a strong business empire. He lives a lavish lifestyle with his wife Nandini and their two sons Rahul and Rohan. Yash is firm on values, heritage, and traditions of his ancestors, which he tries to pass onto his two sons. Rahul, the elder, found out at age 7 that the Raichands adopted him at birth, and he deeply considers it as a debt for the rest of his life: Rahul, every word, wish, and, thought becomes charter etched in stone which he would never break. Rahul breaks his charter when he dared to do the impermissible by his father: fall in love with Anjali who lives in the Delhi's discouraged Chandni Chowk with her younger sister Pooja and father Bauji. The day after Bauji's death, Rahul marries Anjali and brings her home as the new daughter-in-law. Infuriated and feeling betrayed, an outraged Yash coldly disowns his adopted son and forcibly evicts Rahul from his mansion. When Rohan (been sent away to boarding school only to return after graduating from college) finds what had, his only goal is to reunite the family. Will he be successful in finding where his best friend brother is settled? Will he manage to convince his narrow-minded father?—gavin@sunny_deol2009@yahoo.com
